WELCOME ! SO i grew up in grand rapids,...went to elementary, junior high, high school, & even college in grand rapids (I also did a few other colleges outside michigan later or concurrently), and I spend more time in southern California now, but always keep an eye on what's happening "back home." Perhaps I should say I grew up in West MIchigan, because we spent a lot of time at Holland, and later on time near Muskegon and also the Silver Lake (New Era) area, among other places. And even within Grand Rapids I lived in numerous locations, some within the boundaries of the city, others outside. Nonetheless, my specific area of origin in Grand Rapids is/was the Alger Heights area, not far from Alger Park, a little bit farther from Seymour Christian school (which may have changed its name as of 2014).SO I will come back to this welcome page and add a little more narration in the near future, but also will be posting links to current news about Grand Rapids on a periodic basis, with my thoughts & comments.
