Yes I remember Indian Joe from Camp Roger Michigan

Although I think we actually called him Injun Joe and I read here that people say he didn't like it but we called him that and he never said anything against it. Not to us anyways. We would hike the woods and sometimes he'd come out on his steps and talk to us. as far as I can remember he still lived in his house back then. That was in the mid to late seventies.
